Audyogik Shikshan Mandal (ASM Group hereafter) is an educational group established in 1983 and has been in this domain of education since then with many colleges under their group now. ASM Institute of Business Management & Research
ASM IBMR (Institute of Business Management and Research) is the management institute of the ASM Group which came into existence in 1995 surrounded by three IT parks in the beautiful city of Pune. ASM IIBR is affiliated by the Savitribai Phule Pune University, one of the best universities in India and courses approved by AICTE. Being in the game for years now, IBMR has a strong alumni network of 8000+ who are involved in placements of the current batch. IBMR was the first B-School in India to collaborate with Harvard Business School to offer HBS Online Program which is HBX CORe in 2016. The CORe is an online program offered by HBS in teaching the fundamentals of business thinking (business analytics, financial accounting, and economics).
The institute’s campus has state of the art infrastructure with a modern library with more than 40,000 books, international magazines, and journals in different fields of management. Programs Offered
ASM IIBR offers a wide range of programs in the likes of Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), PGDM-Business Management, PGDM-Agri Business, and MBA City University.
MBA in IIBR is AICTE Approved is a full-time two-year program that will welcome its 30th batch now. The two-year course is divided into 4 semesters with a batch strength of 360 students and the last date of the application is 30th March 2020.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for applying must be fulfilled by the candidate before applying for this program. Candidate should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in their under graduation with 5% relaxation for reserved category from a recognized university. Also, if you belong to Maharashtra domicile, you need to have 45% in UG. Candidate should also have a valid score in any one of the exams out of CAT/CMAT/MAHCET.
Admission: The admission in this course is done by two methods, one of the modes is centrally administered by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). The other mode is for the seat at the institute level, for which the candidate has to send their relevant documents to the college by post or via email. The relevant documents include mark sheets of 10th, 12th, Graduation, the scorecard of entrance exam you wrote (CAT, CMAT, MAHCET) and one ID proof. After verification of documents by the administration, the candidate will be called for a personal interview, if they meet the cutoff requirements. If an admission offer is made to the candidate, they will have to make the first instalment of the tuition fees and submit the original documents.
Specialization: The major specializations in MBA are Marketing Management, Financial Management, HR Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics. There are options of minor specialization as well in Rural & Agri-Business Management, Pharma & Healthcare Management, Tourism & Hospitality Management. The curriculum of this course is designed in such a way that it gives a 360-degree view of management in the two years. It has industry visits, IIM Bangalore training programs, certifications, case studies, Harvard courses, internships, etc. Specific skills like entrepreneurship, leadership, teamwork, communication, social responsibility all are groomed here.
PGDM in Dual Specialization (PGDM-Business Management) is approved by AICTE as well as a 2-year full-time course with the last date to apply to be 20th January 2020 for the upcoming batch. The approved intake is 180 seats in this course.
Eligibility: To be eligible for this program, you need to have a valid score in one of these tests out of CAT, XAT, ATMA, GMAT, MAT, and CMAT. Grades of class 10th and class 12th, UG Degree is also to be produced to be eligible. Group Discussion/Personal Interviews are then conducted on their campus. Candidates with state-level participation in sports, extra-curricular, gender, and academic diversity have an edge here over others. The final selection is done based on these criteria and then admission offers are rolled out.
Specialization: Here, you can major in 2 specializations and increase your chances of getting placed as they are preferred by recruiters. You can opt to major in two out of Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations. Also, you can choose one domain of specialization amongst these and one from Logistics Management, International Finance, Enterprise Management, and Business Analytics & Big Data.
MBA City University Seattle is another 2-year program and an international offering by ASM IIBR. In this program, the first year is to be completed in ASM IIBR by the student and for the final year, students travel to the US to study at the City University of Seattle for 9 months. To be eligible to complete their graduation from the US, they must score a minimum CGPA of 3.0. The degree offered is of the City University of Seattle with candidates being exposed to international experience.
Fees Structure
You need to shell out INR 1200 upfront for IIBR to consider your application.
However, once admitted, the tuition fee for the MBA program is INR 5.50 Lacs for 2 years (INR 2.25 Lacs per year).
The tuition fee for the PGDM program is INR 6.50 Lacs for 2 years (INR 3.25 Lacs to be paid every year).
The fee structure slightly varies on the specialization you are opting for in your course. For example, the tuition fee for MBA City University Seattle is INR 12 Lacs for 2 years.
